Style Diary | Star Struck

Just a quick style post today featuring this star print dress. I found it in the January sales at Guess for only £20 and have been wearing it at every opportunity since! From going to see the matinee of Matilda in the West End to a friend’s birthday drinks in Bristol, it’s proved very versatile and can be dressed up or down for any occasion.

It’s especially ideal for wearing to dinner dates because the loose fitting shape means it hides food babies, as I found out when I went for pizza a couple of weeks ago! Due to the busy pattern, it doesn’t require much styling. Last weekend I paired it with tights, chunky heeled brogues from Clarks and simple studded earnings which appropriately look like star constellations.

Combining two current trends, statement sleeves and bold prints, the dress is stylish at the time as being low-maintenance and super comfy – handy for slipping on when you’re in a hurry and struggling to find something to wear. With long sleeves, flattering swing cut and short length it’s a great transitional piece for spring and the prefect solution to the unpredictable weather.

A stunning stellar print, this dress really is out of this world! Unfortunately it’s now sold out on Guess but I there are similar ones available from La Redoute, BooHoo, Silk Fred and Warehouse.

Sorry for the lack of style posts recently I haven’t taken any outfit photos for a while but I’m looking forward to taking lots more now the days are lighters and longer. I also haven’t bought any new clothes since this dress, which is very restrained for me, as all my money is going on driving lessons at the moment!

Now, I’m off to Cornwall for my birthday weekend so I should go and pack – and yes, this dress will be coming with me! Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
