Style Diary | Feeling Sheepish

I’m not usually one to hit the Boxing Day sales. I can’t think of anything worse than hunting for bargains on the high street when you could be hibernating at home with an endless supply of films and chocolate.

When I did finally venture outside the house in that strange time between Christmas and New Year’s, without a clue what day it was, I went with my family to Clarks Village in Street near Glastonbury. Clarks Village is an outlet shopping centre established in 1993 on the site of old C&J Clark factory buildings. A stress-free shopping experience, you’re spoilt for choice with over 90 well known brands offering fantastic discounts.

I found this faux Mongolian fur collar and frosted sequins jumper in the French Connection sale. If you know me at all then you’ll know I can’t resist anything fluffy and this elegant faux fur scarf is my new favourite accessory to snuggle up with this season.

Both being white, I put the scarf and jumper together for a crisp, cosy look, which turned out to be the ideal outfit to wear on New Year’s Eve, especially when paired with heeled leather brogues from Clarks. I felt like I was buying my school shoes again when I was trying them on in Clarks but they’re honestly the comfiest brogues with a padded chunky heel and are perfect for wearing to work.

Let me know in the comments below if you found any gems in the post-Christmas sales.
