Recipe | Cranberry and White Chocolate Cookies

These Cranberry and White Chocolate Cookies are perfect for baking in the lead up to Christmas.


You can’t really go wrong with white chocolate and cranberries and it’s a combination that has Christmas written all over it. They’re really easy to make and great for taking along to a party or giving to friends and family. I made them to take to my sister’s Christmas drinks party today and they seemed to go down well!


  • 135g unsalted butter

  • 190g plain flour

  • 80g caster sugar

  • 80g soft light brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp vanilla essence

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • 100g dried cranberries

  • 100g white chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 170ºC. Start by creaming together the butter and two types of sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Add in the egg and vanilla essence then mix together. Stir in the dry ingredients including the flour, cinnamon and bicarbonate of soda.

  3. Mix together until a dough forms and add in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.

  4. Roll into balls using about two dessert spoonfuls of dough. You should be able to make 10-12 cookies. Place onto lined baking trays about 8cm apart as they will spread in the oven.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes until a light golden colour and leave to cool.
